About HRDM
Horizon Reach Digital Media.
A web design and digital creative studio in Fishers, Indiana, working with businesses across the United States. A small team, one standard, and a real person on the other end of every message.
Our story
It started with logos and flyers.
HRDM started in 2023 making the things local businesses use to get noticed: logos, flyers, social graphics, event posters and short promo videos. One thing kept coming up. A lot of those businesses didn’t have a website that explained what they do or made it easy to become a customer.
So websites became the main thing we do. The design work never went away, and it helps. The same eye that goes into a poster goes into every page.
HRDM is based in Fishers, Indiana, and works with businesses across the United States. When you reach out, you talk to a person on the team, not a ticket queue.
Our mission
Beautiful websites that work as hard as the people who own them.
Our mission is simple to say and hard to do: give every small business and every community organization a website and a brand that look as good as the big companies’ do, and that actually bring in customers. Not a template with the logo swapped. Not a page that looks fine on a laptop and falls apart on a phone. A real piece of design, built around the people it is for.
We design everything around beauty. That is our standard and we do not apologize for it. Looks come first, because looks are what a customer judges first. But beauty on its own is decoration. We extend that same care to the job the site has to do: get the customer to the menu, the booking, the quote, the phone number, the door. A site that is beautiful and useless is a painting. A site that is useful and ugly gets closed. We are here for the one that is both.
We believe the businesses that make a city worth living in deserve the same quality of design as the ones with a marketing department. The barbershop that has been on the same corner for twenty years. The restaurant that opened last spring. The cleaning company that grew from one van to four. The nonprofit that feeds people every Saturday. That is who we build for, and that is who we measure ourselves against.
Our goal is that a customer who finds you on their phone understands in a few seconds what you do, believes it, and takes the next step without friction. Our goal is that you open your own website and feel proud of it. Our goal is that a year from now it still looks current, still loads fast, and still belongs to you. When those three things are true, we have done our job.
And our goal for ourselves is to keep getting better at it. New tools, new techniques, new ways of making a page feel alive, tested on real projects and kept only when they help a real customer. We have used AI in our process from the first day it was useful. We use it to move faster and to try more ideas, never as a substitute for taste.
What we believe
Looks first. Then everything a customer needs.
- Looks first.
- A website is judged in the first second, before a single word is read. So every project starts with how it looks: the type, the colour, the space, the photography, the motion. If it is not beautiful, it is not finished. We hold ourselves to that on a one-page site and on a full menu site alike.
- Then everything a customer needs.
- Beauty gets someone to stay. What keeps them is finding the hours, the menu, the price, the phone number and the booking button without hunting. Looks come first, and then we extend that same care to every job the site has to do for the customer.
- You own what you pay for.
- Your domain, your design files, your photos, your content and the site itself belong to you. Nothing is held hostage. If you ever want to take it somewhere else, you can, and we will help you do it.
- Plain language, always.
- No jargon in our quotes, no jargon on your site. If a visitor has to think about what a button does, the button is wrong. If a client has to ask what a line item means, the quote is wrong.
- Phones first.
- Most of the people who will ever see your site are holding a phone, often with one hand, often in a hurry. We design for that person first and let the desktop version grow from there.
- Small business first.
- We were built for the barbershop, the taco truck, the cleaning company and the family restaurant. The ones that do not have a marketing department. That is who we design for, and it shapes every decision we make.
- Nonprofits at heart.
- We work with a lot of nonprofits and community organizations, and we treat those projects with the same eye as any brand launch. Good design should not be reserved for the people with the biggest budgets.
- Every project, the same standard.
- A flyer, a logo, a menu board or a full website: each one leaves here at the same level of finish. The smallest job we take gets the same review as the biggest.
How we work
One team from the first call to launch day.
Every project starts with a conversation, not a form. We want to know what you sell, who buys it, what a good week looks like and what gets in the way. Most of what makes a site work is decided in that first call, long before anyone opens a design tool. We ask a lot of questions. We take notes. We come back with a plan in plain language.
For websites, we show you the design before you commit to it. You see your own business on a real screen, with your name and your colours, and you tell us what feels right and what does not. We would rather change a design ten times on paper than once after launch. That is also why we work in small steps: a look, then a page, then the whole thing, with you in the loop at every one.
We build on modern, standard technology and we keep it simple on purpose. No plugins that break, no page builders that slow everything down, no monthly platform that quietly owns your content. Your site is fast because it is lean, and it is yours because it was built to be handed over.
Before anything goes live, it gets clicked through on real phones and real browsers. Every link, every form, every menu item, every button. We check the words as carefully as the pixels, because a typo in a price costs more than a wrong shade of blue. Launch day is a checklist, not a leap.
After launch we stay reachable. Things change: a new menu, a new location, a new season, a new offer. Whether you update those yourself or ask us, the site is built so that changing what changes often is easy, and the design holds together no matter who touches it.
Who we work with
Small businesses, nonprofits and the people behind them.
Restaurants and bars that need a menu people can read on a phone and an easy way to order or call. Barbershops and salons that live on bookings. Cleaning companies, contractors, landscapers and other service businesses whose customers want a quote and a number to call. Shops that want to sell online without a second job running the store. You do not need to be near us. We design, build and manage websites remotely for clients in any state.
Nonprofits, churches, community groups and event organizers. A lot of our work is with organizations whose budget is small and whose mission is not. We enjoy that work, we make room for it, and we hold it to the same standard as everything else, because the people they serve deserve nothing less.
New businesses that need a logo, a card and a page before the doors open. Established ones that have outgrown a page builder site from years ago and want to move without losing what they built. And anyone in between who wants their business to look, online, the way it already feels in person.
Our standards
The checklist every page has to pass.
Twelve things we check on every site before we call it done.
- It looks right on a phone before it looks right anywhere else.
- The phone number, the hours and the main action are one tap away on every page.
- Text is readable in daylight, at arm's length, without zooming.
- Every image is real, sharp and sized for the screen it is on.
- Pages load fast on a normal phone on a normal connection.
- Every button, link and form works with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- Nothing on the page is there because a template put it there.
- The brand feels the same on the site as it does on the door, the menu and the business card.
- Search engines can read every page, and the important ones have the right titles and descriptions.
- You can update the things that change often without calling us.
- Nothing goes live until it has been clicked through, page by page, on the real devices people use.
- The site still looks good a year from now, because it was built on a design system and not a mood.
